In My Yard

I think the way these flowers bud is just too cool!  I had a lot of fun photographing them.  The vibrant colors and structure of the buds and blooms are so unique.  It's something you don't notice until you take an up close look at them.  This is one of the reasons I LOVE photography, it helps you look at things in so many different ways.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how many photos I've been able to take in my own back yard.  I can go for days and take hundreds of pictures without having hardly any that are a like.  Then, I'll go for a few weeks and not take any, just to get back out there and find more ways and different ways to photograph things.  My "from where I stand" photo for today was taken in my back yard.  We have two bird feeders. One my daughter made a long time ago and this one I bought last year. It's a metal lighthouse that is solar powered, so the light comes on in the dark. It is one of my favorite things.

 

April is another abstract month at 365project.  I have one from my shoot in my back yard, today.  I call it Hard Candy Cherry.
