Day 9 of the 30 day challenge is someone I love. Here is my son. I am going to be honest here, when I knew I was having a boy it scared me to death. I'm not sure why, but I really questioned my ability to parent a boy.
Of course the minute they put him in my arms, all that was gone. It's a funny thing about love, every time you fall in love it's different. I am amazed every day at how much I can love this boy and in so many different ways.
He is almost 10 1/2 years old now. He was my BIG baby. He weighed in at 9 lbs 1 oz and was almost 21 inches long. I am only 5'3" so that was a lot of baby for me to be carrying around.
For the most part my boy is his daddy's mini me, but there are some things that he gets from me. He already loves his camera more than his sister loves hers (it's my most recent "old" camera). He actually asks me about how to compose a photo and is always eager for me to see what he's done with his camera.
One other thing he gets from me is loving scary movies. My daughter is terrified of them, so my boy will be my horror movie partner as he gets older. Yeah!
This picture was taken at the Confluence Point of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers right after Caleb had taken a picture of the rivers behind him.

This tower is in Hartford, IL. It faces the confluence point of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. You can see for miles on a clear day, which thankfully we had when we were there. Hartford is about 30 miles for downtown St. Louis, MO.
Again at the Confluence Point
