From the Parks

Ok, I know it's probably getting old hearing this, but it still was way too hot to go out and take pictures.  All of us lazed around in the AC today after doing some house cleaning this morning.  This evening we did go to Applebee's for supper and then my husband and I went to Lowe's to get a bathroom mirror, some gardening stuff and a new nightlight for the new bathroom.  We also went to Wal-mart to get Dixie cups, sun glasses and a new toy pig for the dogs.  So, here are some pictures of Queen Anne's Lace from the day that the kids and I spent at the parks earlier this week.

Here is a flower I found very interesting.  It has wonderful textures to it.  I don't know if it's supposed to look like this or if the drought and heat has effected it.  I'm not all the knowledgeable when it comes to plants.

Usually at the base of this drain from our downspouts the ground is just dirt because of the water rushing out of it and making it hard for the grass to keep up.  Now, however, there is dry crackly grass that has managed to beat the dry weather and the heat.  We are really hoping that some rain gets to us tonight.

Today's theme for the photo a day at Instagram was garden.  I did not get outside to take a picture until the sun went down.  Thankfully, my phone has a flash on it's camera.  Here is my flower garden at night.
