This week is teacher appreciation week. Our administrators gave us all carnations on Monday morning during the school wide Monday morning meeting we have each week. This is mine

Several of our local parks have gardens in them. The one I'm standing in for this picture was funded by our town's Lion's organization. It was built when I was in high school. It has an accessible pathway and the information plaques are not only in text, but also in brail. The second to the last name on this plaque was the father to a girl that I hung out with in high school. He was also on our city council in 2001 - 2003 (approximately). He lived up the street from my husband and I until he passed away a few years ago.
